How a Swapper swap works
Four steps, no account. Here is what happens at each stage and what the status messages mean.
The steps
- Get a quote. Enter the amount of XMR you want to swap. Swapper returns the estimated USDC you will receive, the minimum received and an estimated time before you commit.
- Set your destination. Paste the Arbitrum (EVM, 0x...) address that should receive the USDC and double-check it. No login or wallet connection is needed.
- Create the order and deposit. Swapper creates a one-time Monero deposit address and an order ID (ord_...). Send one transfer of the exact XMR amount shown before the deposit expires.
- Track and receive. Track the order live. After about 10 Monero confirmations (typically 30-60 minutes) the swap executes and USDC is sent to your Arbitrum address.
Order states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
waiting_for_funding | Order created; user must send the exact depositAmount to depositAddress before expiresAt. |
deposit_detected | Deposit seen on-chain, waiting for confirmations. |
swap_processing | Deposit confirmed; swap executing (or refund in progress). |
completed | Terminal success. Funds sent to the destination. |
terminal_failure | Terminal failure (failed, expired or refunded). Open a support ticket. |
Safety checklist
- Confirm direction, network (Arbitrum) and destination address before confirming.
- Do not send funds before the order is created and deposit instructions are shown.
- Do not round amounts; send the exact deposit amount once.
